Reddit, Telegram or Discord: how do they differ?

The three places behave differently, and knowing how helps you judge what you find:

Reddit's advantage is public pushback: if a sheet is out of date or full of affiliate links, someone usually says so in the comments, and the votes tell you how many agree. Telegram channels are one-way, which makes them good for coupon alerts and poor for honest feedback. Discord sits between the two — lots of real chat, but hard to search later. For a sheet you intend to buy from, the Reddit-style public record is the most useful.

Verdict: Prefer sheets with a visible comment trail. A one-way channel tells you what the owner wants you to see.

Six checks before ordering from a community spreadsheet

Six checks, in order, before you order from any community spreadsheet:

1. Last updated. A sheet from 2024 or 2025 is old by marketplace standards. Suggestions for '2026 reddit' exist because people know it.
2. Who profits. AliExpress affiliate links (often short s.click.aliexpress.com links) and agent referral codes pay the sheet's owner. That's fine, but it means the sheet is a recommendation, not a review.
3. Which platform. Is the row an AliExpress item (aliexpress.com/item/…), a Weidian or Taobao listing, or a link wrapped for an agent? The link converter tells you.
4. Is the agent still there? AllChinaBuy, WeGoBuy, CNFans, Pandabuy are offline or closed on our status board. Links wrapped for them need converting.
5. Is the listing still there? Open a sample of ten rows. AliExpress removes branded-looking listings often; Weidian sellers relist.
6. Is the price current? Compare the sheet's price with the listing today, including shipping.

Verdict: If fewer than half of a sample of ten rows pass checks 4–6, treat the sheet as a list of ideas, not a shopping list.

Red flags in shared sheets and channels

A few red flags come up again and again in shared sheets and channels:

• Payment outside a platform — a channel owner offering to 'order for you' if you send money by bank transfer, crypto or gift card.
• Lookalike agent domains — a link to an agent's name on an unusual ending (.online, .shop) rather than the real site.
• Log-in prompts — a sheet that asks you to sign in to view it with an account other than the usual Google one.
• Coupon codes that need a sign-up elsewhere — genuine AliExpress coupons are applied inside AliExpress.

None of these is subtle once you know to look. The underlying rule is simple: pay only inside AliExpress or inside a working agent's own checkout, where the payment is on record and a dispute route exists.
