What does OrientDig charge?

OrientDig's appeal is that there's little to calculate. Per KakoGuide's June 2026 review:

The $1.18 is a per-parcel charge, not per item, so it hardly registers on a ten-item haul and stings a little on a single small item. It's the kind of fee that nudges you towards one larger parcel, which is where agents make sense anyway.

Against AliExpress, the fee comparison is nearly even: neither charges a service fee, and OrientDig's declaration charge is smaller than the shipping most AliExpress stores fold into a single item's price. The real differences are elsewhere — where the item comes from, whether you see it before shipping, and what happens with tax.

Verdict: On fees alone, OrientDig is as close to AliExpress's simplicity as agents get.

Does OrientDig handle EU tax like AliExpress?

Here's the catch for European buyers. Since July 1, 2026 the EU charges €3 per item category on parcels under €150, plus VAT. AliExpress collects VAT at checkout through the IOSS scheme on eligible orders, so the price you see is close to the price you pay. Some agents run 'tax-included' EU lines that do the same. KakoGuide found no published tax-included lines into the EU at OrientDig.

That doesn't mean OrientDig can't ship to Europe — it can — but VAT and duty may be collected on delivery, often with a courier handling fee on top. Before choosing OrientDig for an EU parcel, get its line quote and add VAT at your country's rate and €3 per category. Verdict: Outside the EU, OrientDig's simple fees are hard to fault. Inside it, compare the landed cost with AliExpress's checkout price.

How current is OrientDig's 4.7 score?

A 4.7 average from nearly a thousand reviews is one of the best in this market, and the 3% one-star share is remarkably low. The caveat is timing: 62 reviews in the last twelve months means the bulk of that record was built in earlier years. The newest review we saw was dated August 21, 2026.

That's not a warning sign on its own; review volume often falls as a business matures. But it does mean the score is a statement about OrientDig's history more than about next month. Read the newest dozen reviews rather than the average, and check the status board before topping up.

It's also worth noticing where OrientDig's searchers are: its largest audience in the Semrush data is in the UK, not the US. That fits its strengths. UK parcels under £135 have VAT collected at the point of sale and no customs duty, so the EU tax-line gap doesn't apply, and a simple fee structure with one small declaration charge is exactly what a UK buyer wants from an agent.

Using the OrientDig shipping calculator and coupons

'OrientDig shipping calculator' is a steady search, and OrientDig has an estimator on its site. Like every agent's, it works from the weight and size you enter, so it's only as good as those numbers. The trick is to use it twice: once when planning, with generous guesses, and again after QC, with the weights from the warehouse photos. If the second number is much higher, look at the box — shoe boxes and puffers push volumetric weight up.

Coupon codes for OrientDig circulate too ('how to use coupons on OrientDig' is searched), usually as shipping discounts for new accounts. Apply them at the shipping stage, and only on orientdig.com itself; codes that ask you to sign up somewhere else aren't OrientDig's.
