Size Converter for AliExpress and Chinese Listings: Shoes, Clothing Labels and Caps

Straight answer

Sizing is the most common reason AliExpress orders go back, and it matters even more through an agent, where returns end once a parcel ships. Shoe listings mostly use EU sizes or foot length in millimetres: '260' means a 26 cm foot, about EU 41, US men's 8, UK 7 on a common trainer chart. Chinese clothing labels such as 175/92A mean a wearer 175 cm tall with a 92 cm chest and regular build — usually a Western M. The three converters below cover shoes, clothing labels and fitted caps. AliExpress's free returns (within 15 days on eligible items) are a safety net; measuring first is cheaper.

A common men's trainer conversion. Brands differ by half a size or more; a listing's own chart beats this one.

Measure standing on paper in the evening, mark heel and longest toe, and measure the gap. On AliExpress, check whether a store's 'US' sizes are real US sizes or converted EU sizes — the two can drift by half a size. On Weidian, ask for the insole length of your size; it's the most reliable number there is.

Read a Chinese clothing label

The first number is the wearer's height in centimetres; the second is chest girth on tops or waist girth on bottoms; the letter is build, from Y (slim) through A (regular) to B and C (fuller). AliExpress stores often translate these into S–XXL for export, which is where mistakes creep in.

Computed: a fitted size is head circumference in inches divided by π.

Run a soft tape around your head where the cap will sit, a finger's width above the ears. A fitted cap can't be adjusted, so between two sizes the larger is usually more comfortable. Snapbacks and strapbacks fit most heads and don't need this.

Measuring so you don't have to return anything

Charts are a starting point. The method that actually avoids returns:

  1. Measure something you own of the same kind that fits the way you like.
  2. Lay it flat and measure chest (armpit to armpit), length and sleeve in centimetres.
  3. Check the listing's convention — flat width or full round chest (the round figure is about double).
  4. Pick the size closest in centimetres, allowing 1–2 cm for measuring differences.
  5. Through an agent, ask for a measurement photo at QC. On AliExpress, read buyer photos and size comments in reviews.

For trousers, Chinese charts often give the garment's relaxed waist, not a body measurement: measure across the waistband of a pair you own and double it. The clothes sheet and shoes sheet carry model-specific fit notes on their tiles.

Are AliExpress sizes smaller?

Often by about one size on clothing, because many stores use Chinese cuts. Compare centimetre measurements rather than letters.

How do I convert EU shoe sizes to US?

Use the converter or the chart: EU 41 is about US men's 8 and UK 7 on a common trainer chart. Foot length in centimetres is more reliable.

What does 175/92A mean?

A garment cut for someone about 175 cm tall with a 92 cm chest and regular (A) build — usually a Western men's M.

What does '265' mean on a shoe listing?

How do fitted cap sizes work?

Should I size up on Chinese clothing?

For fitted pieces, often one size. Oversized streetwear is frequently cut big already. The centimetre chart decides.
